If you've been to a 6:30pm class at BYSJ, you've been in class with Jen Tunay- she's been to every one since we opened! Jen started practicing Bikram yoga in 2005 and loved it so much she was soon attending 4 to 5 days a week.
Bikram yoga has helped Jen transform her eating habits and connect with her body. She says, "I had never really done yoga before but there was something about the heat that really dialed me into my body. I gave up my not-so-fabulous eating habits and my (and I'm not even exaggerating) 12 pack of Diet Coke a day."
"I'm always looking forward to being inside my body and being able to listen to what it's telling me in class. I'm only practicing twice a week for now, but I feel stronger every time and I know I'll be coming more often."
Jen's advice to new students? "Just come to practice with a willingness to listen to your body while it accepts the challenges you'll encounter in class. Keep practicing!"
