What's Your Story? CONTEST is on through June 21!

At Home we know there's nothing as powerful as a firsthand account, to inspire friends and neighbors to take charge of their own health.

We also know that telling your own story is a very effective way to re-inspire yourself about your practice and reignite your own yoga-flame!

That’s why we’re running the "What's Your Story” video contest!

This contest will run until June 21 (International Yoga Day!) and 1 winner will WIN a bundle of retail from our online shop (choose whatever you want, up to $250!) OR $250 on your account at the studio.

2 additional winners will win prizes too!

You can submit as many videos as you want, BUT they must all meet *The Criteria* (below) to qualify for the prize. 

By entering this contest, you agree that HHY may share your video on the interwebs for unlimited marketing purposes.

We’ll draw the winner out of a hat on June 21! Whether you get a prize or not, just by sharing your story you'll win. Because it's a win-win situation when you inspire others to start a yoga practice

So, what's your story?

Read the rules & tips below, carefully. This contest is open to all current members of Home Hot Yoga. All videos must be emailed (attached as mp4s) to [email protected]

Each video must include: 

• Shoot in "landscape" mode
• Good lighting & audio (minimal background noise)
• Your story in this format:

1. Specific problem you had before you started, which Bikram Yoga helped you solve (this doesn't necessarily have to be the reason you started practicing.) If you submit multiple videos, each video must deal with a different problem)
2. How that made you feel
3. What practicing Bikram Yoga did that was different, which helped you solve the problem
4. How you feel now that you can do what you couldn't do before 

​1 BONUS entry per video if you also mention all 3 of the following:

1. What you love about our online offerings
2. How your practice has helped you through this crazy time 
3. Why you are excited that HHY will offer both virtual + in-person classes when we reopen

Tips for filming:

• Set up facing the sun/ natural light coming in through a window (so camera has its back to the light)
• Write down what you want to say, tape it up slightly off camera. Read each sentence, then say it while looking at the camera.
• Pause between each sentence and take a breath
• We will edit these, so don’t worry if there is a lot of blank space- if you want to say something again, just pause and take a deep breath, then start over
